THE CHICAGO INCLUSION PROJECT
The Chicago Inclusion Project is a non-profit that brings together artists and audiences who are normally separated by things like physical ability, economic status, gender identity and race through inclusive theater experiences. We are working towards accessibility for all onstage and off within the theater community and a more open dialogue that will get us there. I am the founder and Executive Director and am so excited about the work we're doing.
THE GIFT THEATRE
The Gift believes a play never closes until everyone who saw it stops thinking about it and that art is, at its best, a sacred conversation between actor and audience, revealing the joy and pain of being human. In other words, a gift. I am so proud to serve as co-artistic director and casting director for this incredible group of people.
My dear friend Nate Braga and I started a podcast and blog series where we chat with theater artists of different ethnicities, physical abilities, gender identities. We give them drinks. They give us insight. And maybe there is cheese.
As a new year's resolution, I challenged myself to cook and eat 52 recipes I've never tried before. This is me, trying desperately not to always cook macaroni and cheese.
